COVID-19 / Coronavirus Questions

Yes, we do. Our methods for cleaning facilities with confirmed COVID-19 exposure are quite extensive, and they involve full bio-hazard disinfecting procedures. These extra procedures are primarily for our employees’ protection. For instance, when working in situations of confirmed exposure, our employees will wear PPE, work in teams to observe one another, and dispose of used products in certain ways.

Because this virus is new, the Environmental Protection Agency has not yet established inactivation claims or efficacy protocols. In the simplest terms, this means that no one can say with complete certainty that any cleaning product is effective against the coronavirus. Furthermore, anyone making such claims at this time is being disingenuous. With that said, the EPA has issued guidance on how to make claims against emerging pathogens that aren’t on registered disinfectant packaging. Eligible products must meet certain criteria to make claims about efficacy against COVID-19.

At this time, we do offer deep cleanings for non-registered clients, but that’s subject to change. As the coronavirus mutates and spreads, and as the demand for our services increases, we will prioritize current clients. We specialize in commercial cleaning, residential cleaning, post-construction cleaning and move in/out cleaning.

We are fully insured and bonded. We carry liability that protects you and any damages that are caused by our employees. We carry workers’ compensation that protects our employees in case they are injured while cleaning your homes and facilities. We are bonded for your protection for proven thefts.  Lastly, we carry auto insurance.

Yes, we have a routine cleaning program, but we also customize and tailor a program to address your specific cleaning needs.

Commercial Cleaning Questions

All our employees go through an extensive interview/screening process before we hire them. If you have specific requirements, we are happy to add those to our screening process for your company.

Our employees receive training on a regular basis. For the first 90 days, they are trained in general cleaning like bathrooms, office cleaning and floors. Every account is different and most of the time we put together a cleaning training based on the client’s needs. In addition, we provide Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training on safety standards.

Our managers and team leaders receive 20 hours of training on becoming a team leader. They also learn organizational skills and how to coach and develop employees. Our regular employees receive training in emotional intelligence, teamwork and problem solving.

We put together an internal team that meets the needs of the client and that will work at your facility on a regular basis. We are very stringent and selective on the kind of employee that will represent Sparkle Edge and your company.

We understand that a clean facility is a reflection of your business. Sparkle Edge Team Leaders and Managers use a Quality Control Assurance Check List. Each team member is accountable for Quality Control and cleanliness of the assigned areas. The Team Leader is responsible for the overall Quality Control and cleanliness of your facility on a day-to-day basis.  Our Operations or Field Managers are responsible for the checks and balances to ensure that we have met your expectations.

Residential Cleaning Questions

We provide residential cleaning services for Somerset County.

Green cleaning can help all of us stay healthy and help preserve the environment. We offer all our clients green cleaning products; eco-friendly products that are environmentally safe and protect your health. These products clean your home naturally, without unpleasant chemical residue that can harm your family and your pets.

If you want alternative cleaning products, we ask that you provide the products you want us to use.

Generally, we supply standard cleaning products and equipment.  However, if you want us to use your products, we would be happy to do so.

The cost will depend on how large your home is and whether we will clean your home weekly, bi-weekly, once a month or one time.

If you anticipate a need to change or cancel your appointment, we request advanced notice of a minimum of 24 hours. Give us a call or email us and we will move your visit to another, more convenient time or if you wish, cancel it.

We leave this up to you and will do whatever you feel most comfortable with.

  1. You may give us a key.
  2. You can leave a key under a door mat the day of cleaning and we will leave the key inside your home once we are done cleaning.
  3. You can give us the code to the garage.

We want to keep your home secure. Therefore, we prefer option 1 or 3.

Post Construction Cleaning Questions

Post-construction clean-up is cleaning and removing any debris, dust, mud, adhesive, and other substances that are left over after a construction project.  When the construction project is complete, and before the new residents or occupants move in, a detailed cleaning of the home or facility is required.  Once post-construction cleaning is complete, the new home or facility is ready for occupancy.

We do post-construction clean up on residential homes (such as newly built homes, renovations and remodeling projects) and commercial buildings (such as office space, retail stores, and apartment complexes). Our commercial construction projects mainly consist of apartment complexes ranging from 100 units to 300 units.  Our residential construction projects mainly consist of 25 to 1000 newly built homes.

We understand that a newly cleaned construction home or facility is a reflection of the quality of craftsmanship that you provide for your clients. Therefore, you do not need to be present.

Post-Construction cleanings are time-consuming and could consist of different cleaning stages which are rough cleaning, final cleaning and touch-up cleaning (depending on your needs).  We have many years of experience with qualified employees on your project site. We perform quality control.

We communicate with you at least once a week to give you a project status and remind you of cleaning schedules. We will inform you of any damages that we encounter so that you can take immediate action.
